  • “Man, I feel like a woman!”

I spent most of my morning helping dad drill holes, dig post holes, rid apart rotten boards and nail new ones in place. We are making the corral calve worthy for the new batch my dad plans on getting soon.

About 11:30 a.m. I threw on an apron and began preparing lunch. I mixed up a mean three cheese, pesto pizza (pesto is very interesting) just in time for dad to eat before he left for work.

I'm very thankful for both of my parents. They allowed me to learn practical skills along with the cooking and cleaning stuff that supposed to make you a good woman.

  • My day
Cook lunch (a near disaster avoided)
    Wash the windows
Try to grad Caleb's paper but can't even open the stinking word doc
Make Chai tea and refresh my grammar :)
Get interrupted by my mother requesting that I scrub the floor
    Scrubbing the floor
letting all the water boil out of my Chai tea
Finishing making my Chai tea (yummy! but it didn't have enough ginger in it)
Tell Hunter a story about a cougar trying to eat Caleb
    Prepare turkey stuffing.

  • The End.
The end of the semester that is.
Basically, I didn't want to work today. All i wanted to do was go home and forget about everything.
But unfortunately, I had to move my office and my attitude was pretty rotten. As my mom likes to remind me, attitude is a choice. It helped. I made a list.

10 things I loved about today in no apparent order
    1. Drinking a good cup of blueberry black tea
    2. Staff Prayer
    3. Moving all the furniture out of my office
    4. Pancakes for dinner
    5. Getting a hug from Whitney Lindsey
    6. Seeing my dear friend happy
    7. Wearing my new Jeans
    8. Obeying the Holy Spirit
    9. Finishing up another semester at Verity
    10. Owning at Foosball!

Highlights from the semester in picture form

Buying a car, driving across America with my sis!

Visiting Ben Gentz on the way.

    Tea Time!

Mucking about on the girls camping trip :).

Visiting this little land that had some ugly ducks.

Hanging out with some pretty awesome people.

Other good stuff happened, but I didn't really have any good pictures. Maybe I'll write about that stuff later.

    Be Blessed,
    <3 Uaithne

  • " Next to faith, this is the highest art: to be content in the calling in which God has placed you."
    ~ Martin Luther.

Art can be defined as beauty, creativity, or an ability someone has. Contentment really is an art. It is something that you have to work hard at and practice to perfect. But once perfected, it is art.

"Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out."  ~I Timothy 5:6,7

This is one art that God is teaching me to be a master at.

  • Basically all I do is stand up and blab about weird, dead people for three hours a day.

Life, one of those things you can't escape, so you might as well enjoy the ride.
Once again, I face a new school year with new challenges. One of those is English Lit. This class is the bane of my existence. I have never been satisfied with it. This year, I was determined to be completely prepared for this class. I would do extra research and update the PowerPoint to my satisfaction, but once again it was weighed in my balance and found woefully lacking.
Yet...God is still good. He allowed all my students to pass this year! My students are stellar. God really doesn't need me, but sometimes He likes to use me, which is kind of cool.

On another note: I'm sick. For the first time in a long time, I took the day off. Tried to do a little writing, which failed miserably. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow .

Here is another photo I photoshopped! Hehehe. I have not idea what I'm doing, but it's really fun!

Photo was taken by Rebekah Johnson.
